Foreigners and stateless persons should apply for the extension of temporary staying period in the Republic of Azerbaijan at least 3 business days (except the cases of emergency stop during transit passage) before the expiration of this period. Temporary staying period can be extended up to 60 days upon their own or legal representatives’ application.
Come to Azerbaijan
Foreigners and stateless persons intending to stay temporarily in the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than 15 days should get registered upon place of stay. In case a person changes his/her place of stay, he/she should get registered upon new place of stay within 5 working days from the date of arrival at the new address. Otherwise administrative fine will be imposed to them.
Check if you are eligible to extend temporary staying period
Temporary staying period of foreigners and stateless persons in the Republic of Azerbaijan can be extended in the following cases:
● In case of urgent medical treatment;
● In case of serious illness or death of their any close relative residing in Azerbaijan;
● In case of justified application on incompleteness of intended work by them, submitted by the inviting organization;
● During the transit or emergency stop in the territory of Azerbaijan;
● In case of extension of temporary staying period of father, mother, husband (wife), child, brother, sister in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Collect required documents
• Application form;
• Copy of the passport or other border crossing document;
• Notarized copy of the birth certificate or other document equal to it (for persons under the age of 18, without passport);
• Document certifying existence of cases justifying extension of the temporary staying period;
• Two photos sized 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
• Document of residential area -where the person shall be registered on;
• Application of the person providing a residential area to the foreigner or stateless person (except the cases when there is a residential area in possession of the foreigner or stateless person);
• Copy of the identification document of the person granting a residential area (except the cases when there is a residential area in possession of the foreigner or stateless person);
• Receipt certifying payment of the state fee.
